After clearing customs, embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Along the way, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge, believed to have been built by the revered Tibetan saint Thangtong Gyalpo. Continue your journey to Thimphu and check into your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, acclimating to the enchanting atmosphere of Bhutan.
Begin your day with a visit to the Memorial Chorten, a serene shrine dedicated to the third King of Bhutan, where locals gather for prayer and meditation. Continue to the National Library, home to ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, and the Painting School, preserving Bhutanese artistic traditions. In the afternoon, hike to Tango Monastery, a sacred site dedicated to the protective deity Dorje Phurba. Engage in meditation amidst the monastery’s tranquil surroundings.
